Taking inspiration from an online friend Suzi – http://amelieslog.blogspot.com/2008/06/photography.html I decided to try for an outdoor photoshoot with Megan – this was the day before she became poorly with probable swine flu and she still is not 100% so havent had a chance to post until now. Not completely happy with any of the photos but enjoyed trying. It all started to go wrong when I chose her outfit – she didnt like the coat (a hand-me-down from Cousin Charlotte) as it had velcro at the collar and was scratching her – so I took it off and she quickly got cold. With only a few minutes to snap some pictures I tried a few different angles. The farmer drove past giving me a very odd look so as Meg was beginning to whinge I decided to call it a day and go home. I plan to retry these photos as I love the contrast between the little girl and the HUGE hay rolls – they seem to have stacked most of them round here – this was the only easily accessible field they are still scattered in. Hopefully we will get a good crisp day soon and Meg will be amenable to pose again.
I have also started an online ‘course’ blogging for scrapbookers with the idea of blogging more often – hasn’t really worked so far as my pc is sooooo slow it gives me a headache trying to get a post done – but John has said I can order a Macbook as my Christmas present so there may be more blog posts from then on……………………………..
oh i love these!! the contrast between her being so little and the HUGE haybales works so well, and i love the curves of the bales!!
i’m so out of touch with the countryside i wonder if theres anywhere i could do another shoot of maica in the hay again! i missed this years harvest in spain!

Don’t be so hard on yourself these look superb! It’s great when you go that extra mile and try to get something different and you’ve really pulled that off here. As Suzi said, the contrast in size with the bales looks great! I really like the misty background too. I wish I could see some of these larger – the top right one in particular looks really lovely. Another favourite is the second from the top left. Very cute
